Gabe has been with BioSymetrics since day 1, in November 2016. He has a background in molecular genetics (PhD), and did post-doctoral work at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital on computational and developmental biology. He spent time at a start-up working on real-time machine learning, before joining with others to start BioSymetrics with the aim of tackling the specific challenges of working with biomedical data. He was named one of the top 100 leaders in AI and drug discovery, has authored over 30 peer reviewed publications, and as a grad student received the Jennifer Dorrington award for research excellence. He had taught statistics and data science at Brainstation and the University of Toronto, and enjoys mentoring whenever possible.

“It's been a great privilege to have this role at BioSymetrics. Our vision from the beginning has been to address inefficiencies in the application of AI/ML in biomedicine, and today we are applying that philosophy to build a new paradigm for drug discovery. I spent years working to identify and progress drug screening hits as a Postdoc, now we get to help others go through the process more easily using AI. What could be better than that?”
