Guiding Principles

Our Core Values serve as guiding principles for behaviors and decision-making. An internal team of individuals across departments led the formation of the values, gathered feedback from the entire team on them, and make sure they are consistently communicated, used, and reinforced.   • Empathy, For Inclusion

    Empathy for Inclusion has personal significance for me, largely because of the lessons I learned from my wife. She educated me on bias she experienced working in tech. As I hadn’t experienced the things she did, I had to look deeper at my worldview to determine how I was going to respond. It's through this lens that I am now proactive in helping make my work environment welcoming for all... a value shared by my fellow team members at BioSymetrics.

  • Owner's Mindset

    In past work environments, I experienced "ownership" as a negative, where leaders were either not transparent about their failures or did not share achievements with others.
