In our previous post in this series, we explored the idea of chaining multiple foundational workflows into a larger umbrella workflow. Some of these foundational workflows wrapped existing software packages distributed via official Docker images, highlighted in red in the figure below.
Over the past several months, BioSymetrics collaborated with DNAstack on genomic and phenomic data analysis pipelines. Throughout this process, we gained numerous insights on building workflows and ultimately settled on constructing foundational workflows that we can compose into larger umbrella workflows.
