Connect patient-derived biology to human cell evidence.
Our collaboration with Tanaist pairs BioSymetrics’ patient stratification, disease modelling, and multimodal analysis with Tanaist’s cellular phenotyping and experimental modelling platform to test disease biology in human cell systems.
Start with the patient and test the biology.
We identify clinically and biologically meaningful subgroups and generate biomarker, target, and therapeutic hypotheses. Tanaist brings cellular phenotyping and experimental modelling that provide a human cell context for perturbing and measuring those signals.
Together, we connect patient-level disease insights to experimentally observable cellular responses.
Use patient subtypes to define the next experiment.
Clinical diagnoses can contain different disease biology, and computational findings need relevant experimental evidence before they can guide confident program decisions. Parkinson’s disease is one example of this challenge. People with the same diagnosis may respond differently to treatment.
We analyzed clinical and proteomic data from more than 650 participants and roughly 4,500 proteomic probes to identify three outcome-linked Parkinson’s disease subtypes.
These findings provide patient-derived hypotheses for our validation workflow with Tanaist.
Test the question the patient data raises.
The workflow starts with a subgroup-associated biomarker, biological signature, potential target, or therapeutic hypothesis. Through the collaboration, we apply a relevant human cell perturbation using Tanaist’s platform, measure the cellular response, and compare it with the original patient-derived signal.
Turn cellular responses into development choices.
Our collaboration focuses on functional validation of patient-derived biomarkers and biological signatures, evaluation of potential targets and therapeutic hypotheses, and disease models informed by distinct patient subgroups.
Our work is also designed to support program prioritization, diagnostic and patient selection strategies, and a proprietary data asset that links patient and cellular biology. These outputs can give partners a clearer basis for deciding which programs merit further development.
Build confidence with a clear evidence boundary.
Our Parkinson’s subtype analysis provides the discovery foundation for our work with Tanaist, which adds a cellular validation layer for testing those findings. The collaboration’s biomarker, target, diagnostic, and development benefits remain objectives for ongoing experiments.
