Industry partnership to connect patient subtypes with biological validation.
Our analysis of Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative data identified three patient subtypes. The initial work with our partner BrainStorm Therapeutics will align these clinical groups with biological mechanisms and prioritize subtype-associated biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Planned validation will test selected findings in BrainStorm’s patient-derived human midbrain organoids and complementary in vivo systems. The collaboration also includes a partner-facing decision package, with the initial data readout targeted for the first half of 2027.
Industry partnership to test patient signatures in human cells.
With our partner Tanaist, we are extending our Parkinson’s patient-subtype work into human cellular phenotyping. Planned studies will use agreed cohorts to test whether the clinical and proteomic signatures associated with these subtypes reproduce across cohorts and correspond to measurable differences in cellular biology.
Those comparisons are intended to guide prioritization of biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Academic and patient advocacy partners in published research.
Our research partners at Leiden University Medical Center, the University of Florida, and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy joined us in a published study of more than 700 longitudinal serum samples. We led the integration of clinical and proteomic data and contributed models designed to account for age and corticosteroid use.
The study reported serum proteins RGMA, ART3, and ANTXR2 associated with motor performance, loss of ambulation, and upper-limb decline. These findings may inform prognosis, patient stratification, and clinical-trial design.
